Local Support in Russia Without Travelling to Moscow

You have a problem in Russia. I am in Moscow. I can handle the practical work on the ground or coordinate the right local professional.

The problem: something needs doing in Russia, and nobody is there

Your client has something that needs to be handled in Russia, but neither you nor the client has a reliable person there.

It might be an address that needs checking, an organisation that will not answer emails, a document stuck somewhere in a procedure, a flat whose condition nobody knows, or a counterparty whose story does not quite add up.

The usual options are not attractive. Flying to Moscow means long travel, a visa for many nationalities, several days away and arriving without the language. Hiring an unknown intermediary found online means trusting someone you cannot assess.

There is a simpler first step: ask someone who is already in Moscow, speaks your language and can establish what is actually happening.

What I can handle on the ground

Typical practical tasks I handle personally:

  • Address verification: does the address exist, what is there, does the company operate or the person live there.
  • Local visits to offices, building management, organisations or sites, to ask questions, deliver or collect information.
  • Property and site checks: visible condition, access, occupancy as far as can be observed, photographs.
  • Document and procedural follow-up: finding out where a matter stands, what is missing and who needs to act.
  • Meetings with people or organisations in Moscow, within an agreed scope.
  • Russian-language research and factual enquiries, with a clear report in English or Spanish.

What I coordinate

Some steps in Russia must be done by a licensed professional, with a valid power of attorney, or by the client in person. Court representation, notarial acts and certain filings with public bodies are typical examples.

In those cases I do not claim powers I do not have. I identify which professional is needed — lawyer, notary, certified translator, valuer, accountant — coordinate them, explain the process to you in plain terms and follow it through. You get one point of contact instead of several unknown ones.

For lawyers and advisers: you keep the client

Many enquiries come from professionals abroad who need a Russia-side resource for one file. That is a role I am comfortable with.

You give the instructions, I do or coordinate the work in Russia, and I report back to you. I do not compete for your client or contact them outside the scope you define.

How it works

  1. Tell me the problem.

Send a short description of what needs to be handled in Russia.

  2. I assess the task.

I determine what can realistically be done, what information or authority may be required and whether a specialist is needed.

  3. We agree scope and fee.

Before substantive work begins, we agree the deliverables, timeframe, professional fee and expected expenses.

  4. The local work is carried out.

I handle the agreed practical task and/or coordinate the appropriate professionals.

  5. You receive a clear report.

Factual updates, appropriate documentation and a clear explanation of the result and next steps.

Why trust me with it

Clients are trusting me with matters they cannot see for themselves, so it is fair to explain who I am.

  • 18+ years in security, investigations and verification work.
  • Alfa-Bank, October 2012 – June 2022: Senior Security Officer, then Chief Expert / Head of Polygraph Screening. I built the bank’s screening function from the ground up and later led it, including its quality control.
  • Rosbank, Internal Security Office, August 2022 – December 2024: Chief Specialist.
  • International professional assignments in Europe, Africa and Latin America, and extensive work across Russia.
  • Russian (native), Spanish (C2), English (B2) — you deal with me directly, without an interpreter.
  • Law degree and professional security education.

More about my background

Limits worth knowing

  • I do not replace your lawyer, notary, accountant or other regulated professional.
  • I do not provide legal representation or act under authority I have not been given.
  • I only take lawful tasks and do not use improper influence.
  • Outcomes that depend on third parties or authorities cannot be guaranteed; careful work and honest reporting can.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know exactly what service I need?

No. Describe the situation in your own words. I will tell you what can realistically be done locally, what it would require and whether a specialist should be involved.

Are you a lawyer or a licensed representative?

I hold a law degree, but I do not act as a lawyer or legal representative in Russia. I provide local presence, factual verification and coordination, and I bring in licensed professionals where the matter requires them.

Do you only work in Moscow?

I am based in Moscow, so that is where I can act fastest. Other cities and regions are assessed case by case — sometimes I travel, sometimes it is better to coordinate a local professional.

How is the fee agreed?

Before substantive work begins we agree the deliverables, timeframe, professional fee and expected expenses in writing. The initial review of your enquiry carries no obligation.

Can I send documents through the form?

No. The form deliberately has no upload. Start with a short description; if documents are needed I will tell you how to share them.

What do you need handled in Russia?

Describe the problem in your own words. I will tell you what can realistically be done locally, what it would require and what the next step is.
